Captain Jonas Snorkeling in Florida

Florida has one of the longest coastlines of all American states, and is the only state that borders on two different oceans. Besides, it is one of the most important vacation destinations in the country, as well as in the world. These two together make it one of the most popular snorkeling destinations in the country, and noobs and pros alike love the snorkeling around here.

There’s both freshwater and saltwater snorkeling available in Florida. A large number of

Dolly Sailboats: What You Should Know

One thing that you see a lot of along the coast of Florida is sailboats. I think these are some of the most exciting boats there are because they require you to have some knowledge to use them correctly. It’s not like getting into a speedboat with a motor and steering wheel and scooting up and down the shore. A sailboat relies on the wind and the experience of the captain to get from one place to another. Of course, most sailboats have a motor to use to launch the boat, get it back to shore, to… Continue

Dolly A Day at the Beach

Spending a day at the beach is a wonderful way to spend a fun filled day with the family. There’s nothing better than lying in the sun and playing in the waves of the warm salt water. There’s so much to do at the beach that you’ll never get bored or tired of going. If you don’t care much about swimming in the ocean or when this gets tiresome, you can build sandcastles with the kids. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is child’s play, making sand castles can be fun and entertaining. You can make… Continue

BoatCollier.com What is a Blog? Please read this before posting a new blog..

There appears to be some confusion on the difference between forum / discussions and blogs. In general, a forum/discussion is intended for two way conversations and/or questions and a blog can be thought of as more of a one way journal that can be commented on. A blog (short for weblog) is a personal online journal that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. They are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or ot… Continue

Hi Randy. Glad you can make it . There are a ton of good spots within your 2 mile range. Live bait is always best, but if you just can't you can use frozen with almost as good results. I like the frozen squid chucks available at Marco River Marina,…

Randy, sounds like a great time. The Marco Island area has some of the best fishing waters with some large artificial reefs near the coast. Try Turtle Cove [25-52-18 , 81-35-66] , Panther Key [25-49-71 , 81-32-48] or Indian Key [25-46-98 , 81-27-88]…
